The history of the bellhat
The cloche, also known as bellhat, is a headgear with a folded brim that first originated during the Roaring Twenties. These small hats wrap the head well and emphasize the look of the ladies. In addition, the bellhat can be made of any material. In summer, for example, it can be made of parasisal straw, panama or even panabuntal, a very fine, high-quality material. For winter, it can be made of felt. Velvet and melusine felts, which are rain-resistant and of excellent quality, are always preferred by Fabienne Delvigne.

La Maison de Fabienne Delvigne likes to fulfill all the desires of its customers from all over the world. In order to offer them a very tailor-made and personalised service, requests and appointments can be made in our boudoir atelier located in Brussels, the capital of Europe, but also by Teams, Zoom and Whatsapp.

Packaging
First of all, Fabienne Delvigne carefully wraps the hats in tissue paper. They are then placed in a black hat box signed Fabienne Delvigne. These boxes are made to measure for the House.
Then we place a certificate of authenticity next to the hat. Finally, we delicately perfume it with Eau de Cashmere by Guerlain. This reminds us of a beautiful collaboration between our two Maisons.
